39 quadratic equation worksheet and answers
I've noticed that when working out quadratics I cannot seem to be able to substitute the possible values I work out for x into the equation I work them out for. For example: 2x\^2 + 7x + 3 = 0 I work out that x could be both -1/2 and -3 using the quadratic equation. I then try replacing x with -1/2, getting 2\*(-1/2\^2) + (7\*-1/2) + 3 = -1 When I replace x with -3 I get 2\*(-3\^2) + (7\*-3) + 3 = -36 ​ I decided to sketch the graph to see how that compares to my numbers.
